FAQ

Q: Can I heat my meal while the G1 is inside a bag?

A: Yes, and we actually recommend doing so. The G1 was designed with safety as a top priority, making it perfectly safe to heat while inside a bag. Additionally, the bag acts as insulation to minimize heat loss, which helps save power and improves overall heating efficiency.

Q: How many meals can I heat on a full charge?

A: Please refer to the chart below to see the heating performance for both the G1 Standard Range and Long Range versions when fully charged.

Q: Why doesn't the screen display reach the temperature I set? A: First, it is important to note that the temperature displayed on the screen is that of the heating plate, not the food itself. Actual performance varies depending on the type of food. Here are two common scenarios:

1) Dry Foods Towards the end of the heating cycle, the food itself is already quite hot. Once the heating plate reaches your target temperature, the G1 automatically reduces power to prevent the device from overheating. This protects the machine and ensures safety. As a result, the displayed temperature may appear to stop rising, but the food is actually hot and ready to eat.

2) Liquid Foods (e.g., Soups) Liquids have a higher specific heat capacity than dry foods, meaning they require more energy and time to raise their temperature. Therefore, within a limited heating duration, the reading may not fully reach the set target temperature.

Our Recommendations:

  • For liquids (soups, stews): Set the target temperature to around 150°F (approx. 65°C).
  • For dry foods (rice, pasta): Set the target temperature to 220°F (approx. 105°C) or higher.

Q: Can I heat frozen food?

A: Yes, but for the best heating results, we recommend the following:

  • Cut frozen food into smaller pieces.
  • Fill the container no more than halfway.
  • Extend the heating duration slightly. These steps help the food heat more evenly and improve overall efficiency.

Q: Can I heat my meal while the LunchGo is charging?

A: We do not recommend heating while charging. To ensure a stable heating experience and extend the product’s overall lifespan, we suggest using battery power for heating. Heating while charging carries a small risk of interruption or system anomalies. For maximum reliability and safety, please unplug the charging cable before starting the heating cycle.

Q: Will LunchGo start heating automatically if it is turned off?

A: No. LunchGo will not heat automatically when powered off. The system will only execute your pre-scheduled heating time when the device is powered on.
